Antiochian Orthodox Mission in Lincolnshire

I am staying in Louth on a Saturday evening to serve the Liturgy at St Aethelheard's Antiochian Orthodox Church in the morning. St Aethelheard's is Lincolnshire’s first Antiochian Orthodox Church, it was founded by our Parish Priest Archimandrite Philip Hall at the behest of His Eminence Metropolitan Gabriel of Western Europe of Thrice Blessed Memory in the late 90s, before I was born!

Since that time Antiochian Orthodox Churches have been founded in Lincoln in 2004, Grimsby in 2018, Scunthorpe in 2023 and of course now we hope in South Lincoln in 2026 God willing. This spirit of mission has energised the Church since Christ told us to baptize all nations in 33AD.

We hope that our consistency in prayer and community life, outreach and sacraments will bring Christ to South Lincoln and the surrounding area just as it has done for Christianity for two thousand years. Please pray for us and for our mission.
